Les maladies démyélinisantes neuro-inflammatoires telles que les encéphalomyélites aigues disséminées (acute demyelinating encephalomyelitis en anglais), les myélites transverses, les névrites optiques ou la sclérose en plaques de l’enfant, sont des pathologies rares. Des anticorps anti-MOG dirigés contre la myéline du système nerveux central ont été souvent retrouvés dans ces affections. Les mécanismes immunologiques sous-jacents ainsi que le rôle de ces anticorps dans ces pathologies sont encore méconnus. Deux jours de conférence sont organisés par le centre de référence des maladies neuro-inflammatoires de l’enfant (Dr. Kumaran Deiva) et le Centre de recherche en Immunologie des infections virales et des maladies auto-immunes (CImVA) à la faculté de médecine des Hôpitaux universitaires Paris-Sud afin d’avancer dans la compréhension de ces maladies. Des intervenants venus de toute l’Europe présenteront les innovations et études sur les maladies inflammatoires démyélinisantes et les anticorps anti-MOG.
